Rihanna may be MIA from the music scene but the mogul has definitely been working. She has officially been named the world’s richest female musician, with a net worth of $600 million dollars, according to Forbes.
On the list of richest, self-made women, Rihanna ranks 37th, but is the highest ranking musician on the list. This puts her above stars like Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Madonna.
Beyond music, Riri has ventured into various other industries, including beauty, fashion, and even filmmaking. Her beauty line, Fenty Beauty, which is co-owned by the French luxury conglomerate Moey Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s through its beauty incubator Kendo, reportedly generated $570 million in 2018 alone. Combined with her Savage x Fenty lingerie line, and her previous collaboration Fenty x Puma, Rihanna has without a doubt made waves in the fashion industry. Ri has also been releasing installments of a fashion collection, also via MHLV, since last May.
Earlier this year, Rihanna starred in Donald Glover’s short film Guava Island, which released back in April. She is reportedly also working on a line of furniture. Though she has been busy with other pursuits, Rihanna will be making her way back to the music scene very soon. Her next project is expected to drop this summer.
Congratulations are definitely in order. Rihanna has left her mark in the worlds of music, fashion, beauty, and is working towards much more. Her brand is likely to keep expanding, and so is her net worth. For this driven pop-star, trendsetter, fashionista, and businesswoman, this is only the beginning.
