Yesterday (7/1) Dreamville unveiled two more singles from their upcoming project ‘Revenge of the Dreamers III.’ This comes nearly one month after the release of their first two singles from the album, “Down Bad” and “Got Me.” The latest singles “Costa Rica” and “LamboTruck” bring us more bars, more fire, and more to look forward to on the upcoming album.
“LamboTruck” and “Costa Rica” call on the talents of Cozz, Reason and Childish Major, and Bas, JID, Guapdad 4000, Reese LaFlare, Jace, Mez, Smokepurpp, Buddy, and Ski Mask the Slump God, respectively.
Dreaville recently announced that ‘Revenge of the Dreamers III’ will be dropping this Friday, July 5th. In addition to the highly anticipated project, Dreamville’s documentary, which was announced last week, will be released tonight at 9pm. The documentary will include footage of the recording sessions that went into creating ‘ROTD3.’
Back in March, J. Cole shared this with XXL Magazine regarding the album:
“We knew we wanted to do a Revenge album. We’ve been talking about that shit for mad long. Ib (Dreamville President Ibrahim Hamad) had been putting together the songs that he had just from the camp. But my idea came from the fact that as individuals, we fuck with a lot of people. And people fuck with us. Whether it’s me, Bas, J.I.D, Cozz. We’re people persons. But to the outside world, especially ’cause of me and the reputation that I’ve gotten—to nobody’s fault but my own—is a perception that I don’t fuck with nobody and nobody don’t fuck with me. Really that’s not the case. Because I’m so secluded then it’s like Dreamville is so secluded. It’s not like that.”
‘ROTD3’ consists of 10 consecutive days packed with recording sessions. The team allegedly invited over 100 artists to their recording sessions, and the album is expected to include a star-studded list of producers and rappers alike.
